I recently got inspired by some beautiful vector illustrations online and decided to adapt them into a set of three custom keychains. For the build, I used TOOCAA’s colored plywood, and the overall color payoff and vibrancy turned out fantastic!
The design itself is fully scalable, but I made the mistake of scaling them down a bit too much. Because they were so tiny, some of the miniature inlay pieces practically vanished during the final assembly—I swear they just grew legs and walked away!
So, here is a pro-tip if you want to try making these yourself: definitely scale them up a bit bigger than I did to save yourself the headache of hunting for lost parts. Aside from my little sizing mishap, the finished keychains look absolutely lovely and make perfect little gifts!
