Description

With the new school year kicking off, I figured it was time to make a proper desk organizer. Here’s a simple but super handy pen holder I just finished! 🖍️

I built it using plywood for the main body and added some colorful self-adhesive cardstock for that pop of color. The cardstock is great because it’s easy to apply and gives a clean, vibrant finish. But honestly? If you don’t have colored cardstock on hand, don’t sweat it. You can totally just paint or color the plywood directly with acrylics, markers, or even washi tape—the result looks just as good, and you get to fully customize it to your own style. 🎨

The design is kept nice and simple, so it’s perfect for using up scrap materials. Whether you’ve got cardboard, leftover wood, or anything else lying around, give it a shot! Would love to see how you make yours unique. 👇
